Very quietly this year, I added language to my
Vision and Concept package contracts:
It's About Time will make a donation in your name to the charity of
your choice on your first anniversary. Select one of the following or
choose your own:
- Native Energy - carbon offset credits to reduce greenhouse emissions
- HRC - Human Rights Campaign, lobbyists for GLBT equality in Washington
- GLAD - New England's GLBT legal nonprofit
- Hands On Network - the nation's largest network of volunteer action centers, serving 83% of the US
- Other
This is important to me. I'm an idealist. I enjoy volunteering my
time and energy locally, and I believe that the weddings and events I
plan can change the world, one guest at a time.
When I first started the company, I made a donation to
GLAD on each client's first anniversary. Now, I wanted to give clients a choice and these are organizations I believe in.
