Photo of the Week - the Ubiquitous Chiavari Chair

Bernadette Coveney Smith - Friday, October 23, 2009
Here in Massachusetts, it seems if you want a formal chair for an indoor wedding, there's no alternative to the Chiavari ballroom chair.  No matter the array of colors and seat cushions, and no matter how elegant or comfortable, my gay clients are getting sick of the Chiavari.  In fact, it's so ubiquitous, I have about a dozen other photos similar to the one below, from other weddings!

Help me out here, rental companies!

Rental Company to the rescue. Try our mirage chair available in clear, white, or black or our brown leather bruce chairs. Say goodbye to the tired chiavari!

I hear you! There are Philippe-Starck-designed "Ghost" chairs http://www.ghostchairrentals.com/ and also Chameleon Chairs for rent http://www.chameleonchair.com/, but chivaris seem to be the most widely available, affordable (under $10) rental solution.
